US LEGAL EMPOWERMENT NETWORK | EVENT REGISTRATION WEBSITE
building a digital
home for a national
movement
Services Provided: Services: Creative Direction, Brand Kit & Logo Design, Web Design & Development, Event Tech Integration
The Client
An intersectional network of organizers, lawyers, and human rights workers, housed under NYU Law's Bernstein Institute for Human Rights, dedicated to putting the law back into the hands of the community.
The Challenge: Closing the Information Abyss
Ahead of their first-ever National Convening in Chicago, the Network had the heart, expertise, and grassroots momentum, but no digital home to match. They needed a platform that could cut through legal jargon, guide marginalized and non-traditional advocates to vital resources, and handle national event registration.
The Approach
We are designing for the event, not just the screen. Between September and December, we built a 5-page custom site ahead of the February 2026 convening.
Creative Direction
Legal websites often default to gavels, courthouses, and rigid types. We reimagined the client's photos, logos, and copy with warm palettes and hand-drawn illustrations, creating a look that feels inviting, collective, and rooted in community.
Event Infrastructure
We embedded a seamless registration and ticketing system directly into the site, alongside dynamic speaker schedules and travel and hotel hubs, so the core team could focus on attendees, not tech.
Privacy & Security
Because organizing work can be sensitive, we conducted a security assessment and added selective password protection to safely gate vulnerable resources and event details.
The Win
In February 2026, 100+ organizers, lawyers, and community members gathered in Chicago for three days of learning and action. The site did more than sell tickets. It directed community members to key resources, mobilized legal justice leaders, and established a permanent hub that continues to support the movement beyond the closing keynote.
