What an incredible year it has been for The Nest! Our dynamic team of creatives, inspiring clients, and powerful ecosystem partners have helped to make 2023 one for the books.We kicked off 2023 by officially launching as an LLC! While we got legitimized behind the scenes, we also built our outward-facing presence with the launch of our brand new website!
This year we dove wholeheartedly into the branding process with our clients, taking them from project concept to a fully developed brand framework, articulating their mission, vision, values, and audience. The refinement of The Nest’s branding process enhanced our design work immeasurably, deepened client collaboration, and provided additional tools and resources for our partners. We nurtured our clients’ dreams by launching three brands, developing four websites and designing 16 additional digital and print assets, including logos, annual reports, fliers, and educational resources.
IRL AND VIRTUAL VIBE SETTERS
We produced four events for our clients, ranging from book launches to fundraisers, to an 8-day multi-city festival! We continued to offer our event clients social media management services to support the promotion of their gatherings, and were so excited about elevating our clients in this way, that we began providing ongoing social media management consultation & management services to our first retainer clients! (Some folks even took notice of what we were up to; check out our feature in The Knot.)
We also used our social media platforms and design skills to advocate for and celebrate causes and traditions dear to our heart, like PRIDE, Earth Month & Mental Health Awareness Week. Through our in-person events and our robust online presence we grew our community of newsletter subscribers and social media followers!
While we steeped ourselves in creating meaningful tools and experiences with our clients, we also invested in building our broader community. We hosted another successful Gather Round, a dinner party that invites guests to savor the opportunity for care and connection, and launched Dandy Scouts, a queer-led disaster preparedness skillshare series that brings equal parts practical skills and whimsy!
None of these exciting achievements of 2023 would have been possible for The Nest without our incredible and dedicated crew of creatives… which also expanded this year! We doubled the number of designers and communications strategists on our team, built consistent day-of event crews for the Bay Area and Los Angeles, and worked with consultants to support our internal company infrastructure.
