Embodiment Project Get Free Festival 2023

Embodiment Project is Bay Area Performing Arts Organization rooted in Black social dances and restorative justice. Annually, EP offers Get Free, a free week-long street dance festival featuring a range of street dance technique classes, performances with live musicians and poets, experimental battles and a day party celebrating Black social dance and house music, dance, and culture.

Woven Studios produced the 8-day Get Free Festival in 2023 across San Fransisco and Oakland. The festival included a performance showcase, featuring 18 dancers artists, 2 experimental battles, 20 street dance technique classes and a day party hosted by legendary Oakland DJ crew, ELEMENTS.
